(= everyday is a SUNNY day =)

hello all!!!its been nearly a week since my last entry..well..A LOT have happened since then..sigh..well..not really a lot…

sunday 24th april…was d 2nd day of sports carnival…and d only sport being played on dat day…soccer!!yeay!!well..team macquarie lost d first match to mighty MSO..after holding them to 0-0 draw at first half..and d 2nd match against UTS MASA…it happened…

a striker was set free and was charging towards goal..i went up to cover and lowered my body (u knoe..the normal goal keeper pose)…and was ready for him..when he suddenly shifted to my right…and my whole body reacted..except my left foot..and i really dont knoe how to explain it..i just fell on my back..and heard a ‘crack’…a HUGE ‘crack’…n i looked at my left foot..and "AAARRRGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" my foot was twisted 90 degrees out!!!huhuhu..that was like..an impossible position to b in…n i screamed…huhuhuhu..

i was rushed to d hospital after being given on-site treatment by the paramedics..20mil of morfin..and next thing i knoe..my leg was already in a cast…with the foot back to normal position..doctor told me my left ankle was dislocated n fractured (not a surprise since i already saw it during d fall)…2 bones broken…n they need to do an operation to put in a screw and metal plate..and so they did..that very night…

i was put on a morfin machine for 1 half days..where every 5 minutes..i can just press a button..and 1 mil morf wil be pumped into my body..pain killer->in style ;)  then i learned how to walk on crutches..climb and go down stairs..n by wednesday nite..i was discharged…well..thats not really freedom..coz im gonna b walking on crutches for d next 6-8 weeks..haih..

its gonna b a long journey to recovery…but what to do…see u all next time!

making headlines for sports tonight…first day of inter uni malaysian clubs sports carnival…mixed emotions for the macquarie team…first…a word from our sponsors :-

the macquarie team started off with the wrong foot..being trashed in basketball n netball in the first outing…and it seems that this is just one of the days where u find that u r goin down d drain…well..it seemed…

an inspiring strategical change and on court leadership by Paul and Wee Keat half way into the first half of basketball’s 2nd game…againts UTS…limited UTS’s hot hands to just one point in 7 minutes..while macquarie just hung in there…

macquarie made a miraculous comeback..with strong defense…pressuring all the UTS stars..while showing a bit of their own attacking play..taking advantage of UTS’s poor in-d-paint play…and eventually tied the game..before taking a 2 point lead…just 1 minute from time…unfortunately…UTS managed to score a 3-pointer just a few seconds before the final whistle…claiming victory..with just 1 point…personally…ARRRGGGHHHHH!!!!i used to like it when Micheal Jordan won games with final seconds shots…but i never thought it would happen to me!!!!!!!!!so…we lost the 2nd game…n eventually everyone had a good time in d 3rd game..eventhough was being trashed by a spirited SUAMS team in that game =)

netball on the other hand…won the remainder 2 matches (yeay!)…doing macquarie proud (im proud of all u peepz!!!!)…huhuhu…n the team was formed..just last night!!!!!!!!!! (and u all save lots of macquarie msa club money…by not hiring court for training =) from d treasurer here : "LUV U ALL!!! =)" ) …hehehe..and also later..volleyball won 1 out of 3 match…and im sure everyone had a good time =)  oh yea…macquarie got 2nd in badminton…which is good…in d end…it wasnt a bad day after all =D

to recap..as much as we all wanna win…we shud always be ethical in d way we achieve it..whats d point of winning…when ur team is formed by imported players..that not even malaysians???!!!!and u call this malaysian sports carnival..shame on everyone..(sort of how countries grant citizenship to overseas athletes just to win them medals in olympics or whatever) …all this disgusts me…coz we all have club members that pay to join the club…n they all deserve to go out there n have fun…losing…with dignity…is much better than winning…when we are actually at lost…

to macquarie msa ppl…U ALL ARE GREAT!!!!!!!!LITTLE TEAM…BIG BIG HEART =)

Let me start this entry with a big “AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!”

Ok..chill…

I suddenly find myself in an overdraft state..where haf all the money gone…huhuhuhuhu…I haf so many pop up payments this month..a surprisingly mammoth fon bill…huhuhuhu..suddenly I don’t feel like talking much..

Sigh…chow..

ouch..my back hurts..my legs..my arms..ouch…huhuhu..today has been a very ’sporty’ day for me..huhuhu..

i woke up early to go to d gym n practice basketball with d MSA Macquarie team..then after coming home n rest for 3 hours..went to Waterloo Park to train soccer till late (yes..i play soccer..as a goal keeper that is..hehe..lousy keeper) !!! all this hard work just to prepare for the sports carnival this coming weekend!!!

so here…just a quick shout to those from UNSW..UniSyd..and UTS…prepare to be SERVED!!!!Macquarie is gonna EAT ALL OF YOU!!!Muahahahahah!!!!!! =)

aiiiiii…n now i feel like my body temperature is a bit high…perhaps its d normal on/off high fever..like i always have when i am tired…where my body temp will suddenly sky-rocket like s**t and then after awhile..dip back to normal…huhuhuhu…

anyway…on our way back from d soccer field..me n my mate nicholas were talking bout how there’s so much of this air travel fair (such as MATA Fair) in malaysia…but there is no such thing here…and i just ’sempoi’ly answered…"its all about the price elasticity of demand" ..muahahahahaha!!! *omigosh…what have econ111  and Alan MacHarg done to me??????!!!!!!!!*

and so…next stop is the sports carnival…to all sydney peepz…come out in full force and support your team!!!!!!!!c ya all there!!!!

17th April 2005..yeay!!!its me birthday!!!yeay!!!well..i am 20 now..nope..not twenty..but TWENTEEN..hehehhee…

special thanx to all me mates..who spared a few minutes of their busy life..to wish me happy birthday =) some sms’d..some called..some wrote testimonials..some msged on ym n msn..some even did a combination of the above method =) its just very thoughtful of everyone..i really appreciate it *sobs*

i am also very touched by d fact that my lil cousin from singapore remembered me burfday n wrote a testimonial for me..hehehe..n also my younger aunt that sms’d me out of no where..i was like..wow..now that’s sumthin i did not expect..thanx you all =)

and to those who didnt remembered..I WILL KILL YA!!!hahahahaa…naaa..juz kidding…i totally understand…coz i tend to forget birthdays too (so so sorry, everyone)…hehehe…

finally…my thoughts on birthdays…its really a reminder that…life is like sand flowing in the hour glass where the upper half is covered…u know and u see sand flowing…but u dont knoe how much is left…i am happy i made it thru the first 20 years of my life…battered and bruised…yet still pretty much surviving…and there is more to come…guess what…i am not going to worry too much about how much sand is left…coz then i would forget that sand is still flowing…

saturday - launch of MCA Club of Australia at the Avillion Hotel, Sydney

2 formal functions in 2 days..dude..wearing the same suit for 2 consecutive days (different long sleeves shirt inside that is)…what to do..not that i can afford more than one formal suits =)

the guest of honour…Datuk Dr. Chua Soi Lek…the health minister…and there were so many big shots there..so so many (i thought it was like a student thingy)…well…the main thing for the night for me..i guess..is the talk on the book ‘the chinese dilemma’…which i bought during the break..for AUD15..and that shuyi later won for free =P

i think that this book is something that people who are ready to open their minds should read..it discusses the New Economic Policy that was implemented since the 1969 incident..and yes…its seen as a form of affirmative action that has been criticized as racist..and unfair..of course..if i was purely chinese, i would also have that thought..what you expect to come out of me if i was moulded in such surroundings?so if anyone thinks that they are ready to be adult and open minded..they should read this book..it is like thinking from another perspective..that contradicts with the general view..i will put up a post about the book when i finished reading it =) for now…chow!
