hohoho..how long has it been since i announced this blog??and this is the first time i posted??well..i am never really into writing anyway..hehehe..to begin..let’s recap the past weekend..
friday night - meeting with the PM at shangri-la hotel sydney

–and of coz..i didnt get to take pics with him..what u expect??rite??hehehe..but i did shook hands with him…he looked tired when he was exiting the grand ballroom..but he tried to shake hands with everyone..and i wasnt really at the aisle (did i spell this right??)..so..at the beginning..i just said to myself, “he’s so tired..give him a break..nvm this handshake”…when suddenly…a guy thats way further than me (behind me) brought his hands to the front and the PM shook his hand..PM looked at me..i smiled and shook his hands too in the end..telling him, “have a nice rest”.

saturday - launch of MCA Club of Australia at the Avillion Hotel, Sydney
2 formal functions in 2 days..dude..wearing the same suit for 2 consecutive days (different long sleeves shirt inside that is)…what to do..not that i can afford more than one formal suits =)
the guest of honour…Datuk Dr. Chua Soi Lek…the health minister…and there were so many big shots there..so so many (i thought it was like a student thingy)…well…the main thing for the night for me..i guess..is the talk on the book ‘the chinese dilemma’…which i bought during the break..for AUD15..and that shuyi later won for free =P
i think that this book is something that people who are ready to open their minds should read..it discusses the New Economic Policy that was implemented since the 1969 incident..and yes…its seen as a form of affirmative action that has been criticized as racist..and unfair..of course..if i was purely chinese, i would also have that thought..what you expect to come out of me if i was moulded in such surroundings?so if anyone thinks that they are ready to be adult and open minded..they should read this book..it is like thinking from another perspective..that contradicts with the general view..i will put up a post about the book when i finished reading it =) for now…chow!
